New Mind Blowing 21-Step Cheat Sheet: Secrets of Hypnotic Marketing -- Revealed!

Subtitle: What No One Else Has Told You About How Info Marketers
Really Use Hypnotic Marketing To Bring Unconscious Resources Into
The Conscious Awareness.

I'm going to talk today about how you can use hypnotic methods
in marketing.

Some people could see these things at first as being manipulative
or somehow bad.

However, it's really just about DELIBERATELY using tools of the
mind that you can't not use. Because you use these tools already
unconsciously. So the only question becomes whether or not you
want to use them consciously to get what you want.

Or do you choose to remain unconscious of them and use them in
ways that sometimes work against you and keep you from getting
what you want?

Most people get caught up in thinking that goes in loops. We
typically called this looping thinking circular reasoning and it
forms the basis for all problems.

The reason is that if the solution was in your awareness, you'd
DO IT and you wouldn't have a problem. Therefore, by definition,
the solution is outside your awareness.

Hypnosis is a means of relaxing the conscious mind so that new
information can be brought into awareness to get the mind out of
the loops that it's in and to solve problems.

Alright, if that doesn't make sense to you, then at the end of
this cheat sheet, I'll recommend a resource that will explain it
much better than I can here in a brief cheat sheet.

If you're a newbie, some of this will be advanced for you. But if
you do choose to study any of it further at a point in time, my
recommended resource will be at the end of this article.

My purpose here is NOT to convince you to use these methods. It's
just to say here's what the methods are and how you CAN use them
if you want to.

1. Brief history of hypnosis

1. You can bone up on the history of mesmerism here:

A few quick excertps:

a. In the 1500's there was this dude named Paracelsus who was the
first physician to use magnets to heal people by laying the magnets
on their body.

b. Then in the 1600's, "the Great Irish Stroker," Valentine
Greatrakes, healed people by layin' his hands on 'em and passing
magnets over their body. His BIG innovation was he didn't have to
actually lay the magnets on their body.

c. Around 1771 Maximilian Hell (that was REALLY his name) applied
steel plates to people's bodies to heal 'em. And he had a student
who was a medical doctor from Vienna with the infamous name "Franz
Anton Mesmer."

d. Around 1770, Mesmer started performing "animal magnetism" or
"mesmerism." And THAT is where the term "mesmerize" came from.

I remember reading once that he'd actually hold these small groups
where he'd dress up in a cape with a magnetized magic wand, go
around and touch people with his wand. They'd faint and be healed.
I'm NOT making this up! It's all a matter of history.

Even American legend Benjamin Franklin got involved in that ruckus.

e. Fortunately, a scottish surgeon named Braid came along in 1842
and removed the mysticism from the topic. He debunked mesmerism.

Braid coined the term "hypnotism" (from the Greek hypnos, "sleep").
Better stated, it means "relaxed mind." In other words, you get the
conscious mind to relax and chill out so you can bring information
into awareness that was OUT of awareness or unconscious. This way
you can deliver resources the person needs to escape loops their
thinking is caught up in.

More on this later in this cheat sheet.

I consider this the Bible of conversational hypnosis.

2. A few basic hypnotic methods that are used in online marketing

a. Project high status and authority

People are more suggestible to people they perceive as authorities.

-- Use calm movements. This implies confidence.
-- Keep steady eye contact
-- Take up space when you sit. Don't apologize for being there.
-- Demonstrate authority
-- Tell stories that demonstrate your authority
-- At the same time, avoid coming across as arrogant or too "try
hard"

b. Gain a stream of agreements

-- This is the old sales tactic of getting people to nod their
head yes.

-- Begin sales letters, teleseminar calls, presentations or videos
with a series of statements or concepts people will readily agree
with.

3. Use "hot words that have emotions embedded in them

Some words carry big emotional impact. Use these words in your
sales letters, videos, and presentations. If you've ever read a
John Carlton sales letter, you KNOW he's a master of this. Ditto
for the late, great Gary Halbert.

So a lot of times people's brains are stuck in loops. Their thinking
goes round and round in circles. They can't get out of the loop.
But their conscious mind shoots down any possible solutions. THAT
is why they're stuck IN the loop to begin with.

But to get the solution TO THEM you have to bypass the part of the
mind that keeps shooting it down. One way to do this is to lull
the conscious mind into relaxing
4. Build anticipation

This is what product launches do when they're done correctly.
They build an enormous sense of anticipation.

5. Use hypnotic words

Words like fascination, focus and mesmerizing actually help
capture attention.

6. Use the basic 3-step hypnotic formula

a. Capture attention

We all know this marketing. It's what headlines do. But you
can do this even more readily using video if it's really, really
well done.

In sales letters, you have to keep pulling out headlines or
ideas with a unique TWIST or angle to capture attention.
Otherwise, your sale letter is just one in a million.

How can you capture ATTENTION? This is almost half the battle
in online marketing today.

b. Bypass the conscious mind

Hypnotists use confusion, overload and other methods for this.
So if you feel confused or overloaded, you may have been under
the influence and not known it!

But there are MANY techniques for bypassing the conscious mind.
If you just establish that you're an authority, people will then
lower their conscious guard.

The reason you want to do this sometimes is the conscious mind
is going in loops over and over and over. The reason it's going
around in circles is that the solution is outside it's awareness
but it won't let it in.

The term is circular reasoning. The solution is to find a way
to bypass the loop and the circular reasoning to bring the info
into awareness that is needed to get the person out of their
STUCK POINT.

Conscious minds often run in LOOPS that create STUCK points.
So the elegant use of hypnosis or "relaxed mind" techniques is
to get the conscious mind to RELAX so that new data can enter
the loop and free up the process.

As info marketers we sell information that allows people to get
out of the loops they're stuck in. But sometimes people won't
BUY because the info doesn't fit in their paradigm. Which is
why they ARE stuck in the loop to begin with.

My Overwhelm Cure is such a product. People feel overwhelmed
and confused so they don't buy what can help them out of that
state. The easiest way to get them out of the loop is to
bring information into their consiousness that bypasses their
conscious mind that's keeping the solution out of awareness.

c. Deliver your suggestions

This is whatever marketing actions you want people to take.

==> Do NOT attempt this formula without getting proper training.

7. Use "shock and surprise"

You've heard marketers use the term "shock and awe." Well, THIS
is where it likely comes from. People who use that term understand
or use hypnosis consciously or unconsciously.

When people are SHOCKED, they respond unconsciously because there
isn't time for the conscious mind to analyze things.

Again, don't try this without professional training...:)

Sales letters, videos or sales processes will sometimes SHOCK YOU
with screen caps, numbers or some other thing. The purpose is to
deactivate the unconscious mind so that a resource you were unaware
of can be brought into your conscious awareness without resistance.

8. Destroy resistance via stories

-- Telling stories is a subliminal way to overcome the resistance
or scrutiny of the conscious mind.

-- This is why most great marketers are great story tellers

-- Tell stories about your friends. You can have THEM say things,
so it isn't "you" saying them! How cool is that?

9. Build rapport

-- Avoid coming across as trying "too hard" or needing money or to
make the sale "too much." If you come across as too desperate or
too eager to please, this makes the other person wonder what your
motives are.

-- For the same reason, avoid projecting that you need something
too much from the other person.

This is the old ruse in marketing where you tell people your
schedule is filled up but you may have an opening for them.

Or you're really sold out but due to some weird thing happening,
you might be able to squeeze them in! Kinda like when you call
the doctor's office.

10. Develop wide rapport by sharing experiences with the person
in a variety of locations.

-- This is the root behind the technique of showing video in your
car, at the beach, in an office, at home and so forth. It's a
rapport building method.

-- Cover a wide variety of topics so you aren't put in just one
small category in the person's brain.

-- By building rapport, you help the conscious brain to RELAX and
go into the RELAXED MIND state (i.e. hypnotic state) so that you
can bring things into the awareness of the person without getting
it "shot down" by the conscious mind that is stuck in a loop that
keeps repeating over and over.

11. Fractionate rapport

This is when you go "hot-cold." A great example of this is product
launches.

During the launch, the person is there with killer videos, blog
posts, conference calls -- everything. After the launch, you
hardly hear from 'em.

This makes you ANTICIPATE the next launch. It's the fractionation
of attention and rapport.

Some people would argue this means you don't write an ezine like
I do. Maybe they're write. But there are OTHER ways to fractionate.

Fractionating rapport is something you can't not do. The question
is only if you want to know what you're doing and then do it
deliberately.

Or do you want to continue doing it unconsciously and having no idea
what it is you're doing?

When the conscious brain is confused, it's preoccupied with trying
to figure things out. That means you can deliver information, data
or resources to the person that they were previously unconscious or
unaware of to get the person INTO a resourceful state.

Without rapport people's conscious brains are on red alert and they
shoot down any solutions that could help the person escape the loop
or problem they're in.

12. Get people to try to build rapport with YOU versus you being
the one to try to build rapport with THEM!

-- Make people apply to get in your coaching program vs. you begging
them to join.

-- Don't show that you're too "over-eager" to network with someone.

-- Don't come across as being "too eager" to get people to buy your
products.

-- Rapport is as much what you DON'T do as it is what you DO.

13. Develop your trance voice

This is the voice that is relaxing and easy to listen to. It's
different from your regular voice, so you don't accidentally put
people under the influence!

Use this voice in your videos when you're pitching or from stage or
in teleseminars.

You know how some people have this voice either in their spoken
word or in their WRITING that you just love to listen to or read?

That's the trance voice. It's a highly attractive voice because
step one in hypnosis is to absorb attention. You can't do that
without an attractive voice and persona.

Or what Dale Carnegie in the old days and others called a magnetic
personality. Most people just aren't aware that you can do this
in writing by the stories you tell, the voice you use, the emotions
you create and how you present your persona.

14. Imply rather than state directly when you can

-- When you imply something, people are more likely to accept or
believe it than when you outright state it.

-- For example, if you want people to get the idea that a big shot,
SHOW the results of this rather than TELLING people.

-- I think Alexandria Brown does an awesome job of this on her blog.
She SHOWS pictures of her at coaching events with her students where
everyone is having a GREAT time! This implies that if you join,
you're going to have an awesome time also.

15. Create "magic moments"

-- Create stories or other magical moments that glue in rapport and
bonding.

16. Use metaphors

-- Your brain responds to metaphors at an unconscious level
-- You can create metaphors via videos
-- But you can also tell stories verbally or in print that do the
same thing.

17. Create an attractive or magnetic persona

-- Be someone people are drawn to and want to hang out with
-- Ask yourself, would you want to hang out with your persona?
-- Do you project someone or something that people find magnetic?
-- A persona is something you work on, build and create over time
-- It's a deliberate creation, not necessarily something you are to
start with.
-- Study people and personas you find to be magnetic and ask
yourself why.

18. Project confidence and a relaxed attitude and demeanor

-- On the one hand, people respond to those they perceive as
authorities
-- And with that, authorities don't have anything to prove
-- Therefore, they often come across with a relaxed attitude
-- In other words, they're chill and you'd like to hang with them
-- If you come across as too uptight or not lacking confidence, this
activates people's minds to scrutinize what you're saying

19. Learn to frame, reframe, and deframe

-- This is one of the most powerful methods you can learn
-- There are two types of reframes: context and meaning
-- If someone says, "the price is too high", you can do a meaning
reframe by saying, "This isn't a cheap, low quality product." So
you've reframed cheap to MEAN low quality. Which, by the way, is
also often true.
-- You can do a context reframe by saying, "Considering the value
you're getting and all the stuff, this is under priced." In other
words, you create a context in which the price IS cheap.
-- You've seen this done in sales letters a thousand times
-- Reframing is the art of helping the conscious mind get OUT of a
loop by presenting information in such a way that it'll slip through
the filter and not be filtered out

20. Tell stories that capture attention

One of the biggest challenges we have as marketers is simply to
capture attention. By telling the story you have that's the most
riveting and exciting, you can do this.

Think of John Carlton's one legged golfer letter as an example. If
you don't know about John's one legged golfer letter, you haven't
studied copywriting enough!

21. There are loops, nested loops, hard loops and soft loops

The brain thinks in loops and circles. And if you've ever gone round
and round on something in your brain and gotten nowhere, your brain
was caught up in a loop.

The problem with loops is the answer lies OUTSIDE your awareness.
Otherwise, you would have already applied the answer.

A solution being outside your awareness means it's something you're
unconscious of. And the only way to find the solution is to become
aware or conscious of what you're unaware of right now.

Without that process, you'll just keeping going around in circles in
a loop and get nowhere.

To get out of the loop, you become aware of what you're unaware of.
This is what info products do for you. They bring things into your
awareness that you were unaware of so you can get out of loops.

-- A "hard loop" happens without any explanation.

For example, you just start telling a story or talking about your
product without any explanation.

-- A "soft loop" transitions into the story or topic

-- "nested loops" are stories within stories

7 Steps To Make Bank Online -- Even If You've Been At It For Years, Even If You're Overwhelmed, Even If You're a Newbie, Even If You've Tried Before

What You Ain't Makin' Bank (If You Aren't)
And What You Gotta Do Today To Make Bank Deposits

This past week I asked people to post on my blog
their "stuck points."

Where are they stuck in the process of making bank
online?

Let's work through the basics one more time:

1. The reason you aren't making bank or stacking
paper in your bank account is you aren't selling
anything.

This is the root cause.

So let's cut through part of the b.s. right now.
You're overwhelmed and don't know what to do?

Let's START with this:

Sell something to somebodody.

You can do that TODAY.

You should do it EVERYDAY.

2. The solution to your money woes is to sell
something to somebody everyday.

I "got" that you may not have money or all the money
you feel you want or need to "do" Internet marketing
and buy all the fancy products, software and stuff.

How do you GET the money?

You get your tail end out there and sell something to
somebody.

How do you do THAT?

Step One:

First you find the affiliate program you want to promote.
I recommend Paydotcom, Shareasale.com, CommissionJunction.com
or another program NOT on Clickbank.

This will dramatically lower the competition.

Step Two: Find a category of products you either know
somethin' about or you find really interesting or fascinating.
Or that you COULD be interested or fascinated with.

Step Three: Sign up as an affiliate.

Step Four: Create your own UNIQUE bonus for buying the product.

How do you do THAT if you don't know anything about the field?

a. Find the forums in the niche.

Just type the name of your niche in Google and the word "forum".
And really, if you can't find a forum choose another niche.

You can also type in "forum directory" and find directories of
forums.

b. Read through the posts and find the problems or issues that
come up the most and copy all the answers and solutions given
in the forum or forums into a text file.

c. Now get CamStudio software or Camtasia or Screen Flow for
the Mac. CamStudio is a freebie. The others you have to pay
for. No choice there.

d. Rewrite the solutions you found into your own little outline.

e. Record a video of the solution.

You can either do Power Point slides in Power Point or using the
Open Office program. Open Office has a slide creation program
in it that is plenty good.

You can even just list out your points in Microsoft Paint and
use those. Or list 'em in the Open Office word processor.

Read through each point in your solution and record the video.

f. Save the video as flash. All of the programs will do that.

g. Upload to your site.

You can get an account with hostgator.com cheap. Or if you're
broke as a tree limb after an ice storm, stick it on
Hubpages.com or Squidoo.com.

No one will know it's there so you don't gotta sweat it.

Step Five: Create a sig line for the forum or forums you're
posting in.

All you gotta do is keep your eyes peeled in forums to see
good "sig lines." It won't take you long to learn how to
do this.

Step Six: Post 3 times to 5-10 forums a day.

Hopefully your niche has 5-10 forums you can post in daily.
If you post in 10 forums 3X daily, that's 30 posts a day.

Your posts need to be HELPFUL as possible. You do NOT
promote in your posts. Only in your sig line.

Step Seven: If you have AmazingFormula.com, then you can
read in there how you can also offer freebie reports as
bait.

The idea there is you build your list by creating a freebie
report and sending people there from your sig line.

Step Eight: Automate

Later, at a more advanced level, you can have your outsource
person post in forums for you (outsourceplan.com). Or you
can hire a forum posting company.

There are companies that will post in forums for you. Some
are better than others. Try to use someone who adds to forums
and don't just post junk.

3. Understand WHY you haven't been making bank to date

Some people are further along in the process than others.
You may have a web site and sales letter and even a product.

But you STILL aren't making sales.

If you have Ockham's Razor, I recommend you go through that
product 10X more carefully and thoroughly. I explain
everything there.

I also recommend you follow the steps in Promo Dashboard
to promote, especially rows 5 and 6.

But let me say this: Typically, in these cases the problem
is the SALES COPY is woefully lacking.

If you're getting a lot of targeted visitors to your site
and no one is buying, your sales letter or offer needs
revamped.

Here's what you do:

Step one: Go find sales letters in your niche that ARE
working. If you see ads in Google over an extended period
of time, they likely ARE working.

You can also look at the sales letters of products in
Clickbank with high gravity. And Commission Junction
reports actual numbers.

Step two: Print out the sales letters that you know
work.

Step three: Print out your sales letter.

Step four: Lay them on the floor side by side and compare.

In short, you need to REALLY study what's working for others.
And why yours isn't. What's the DIFFERENCE?

That's your key right there.

4. Learn to get more products out the door

If you spend 3 years creating a product and FINALLY launch
it only to find it won't sell, you feel like your efforts
are in vain.

If you use VIDEO to create a new product every WEEK and
in 3 months launch 12 products, one of them will sell.

There's nothing wrong with creating $27 and $37 or even $17
products by taking PLR (private label rights) info, adding
your own research to it and making videos.

You say it can't be done?

There are people DOING it.

One guy reported recently that he sometimes makes 52 videos
in one DAY and posts them in a year long membership site,
featuring one new video a week.

Let's take 52 videos x 10 minutes each. That is 520 minutes.
520 divided by 60 = 8 - 9 hours.

Would you be willing to work HARD for 9 or 10 hours to have
a membership site with a year's worth of content already
loaded in it?

Think about it.

5. Learn to model success

I see some sales letters and web sites that are just woefully
lacking. Seriously.

Go to Clickbank.com and LOOK at the sales letters, even if they
aren't on your exact topic.

PRINT them out. Study them. THAT is the bar. LOOK at the
graphics. LOOK at the headlines and subheads. LOOK at the
bonuses.

You don't need the fanciest process in the world to sell.
What you need is something that looks pretty decent.

Even if you'are a raw newbie, you can STILL produce what you
can, even if it's amateurish. You learn by DOING.

You do NOT learn by reading.

You learn by DOING.

If you haven't DONE IT, you haven't LEARNED IT.

You've only studied it.

Don't tell me you've LEARNED something you haven't done.
"Yeah, I've been learnin' Internet marketing for the past
20 years."

You haven't learned JACK if you haven't done. All you've
been doing is filling your mind full of stuff.

Even as a newbie, DO. The WORST that will happen is you'll
learn something.

Sure, you'll make mistakes.

And your point is?

THAT is HOW you learn.

You learn by doing.

You make bank by producing and selling.

If you aren't making bank, chances are you're producing
precious little.

Precious little product.

Precious little promotion.

6. Use video more

You can take the basic formula I give in salescopy.com and
pushbuttonletters.com.

You can take that formula and use ONE or two slides for each
step.

You end up with 12-20 slides. You have a headline,
subhead, story, features, benefits (a number of slides
there), price, guarantee, bonuses.

Create slides out of those and TALK your sales letter.

Formula, read what I wrote there.

Anyway, you can create a video sales letter in an
afternoon.

7. Build your email list

Finally, let's say you've done ALL the above and still
can't get ONE PERSON to buy what you're sellin'.

Should you just go out and eat weeds with your momma?

NO!

If you get people on a list, just send out emails for
AFFILIATE products. And use what I call "The Full Arsenal"
in rows 5 and 6 of PromoDashboard.com to get those people
to buy your affiliate offers.

And, use those ninja video creation powers of yours to
create a little 5 or 10 minute video bonus they get ONLY
if they buy from you.

So let's talk about this.

"Marlon, I'm OVERWHELMED. And I've been at this a year
and haven't made a wooden nickel!"

Let me tell you how to do things differently the NEXT
year.

Create a new product at LEAST once a month if not
weekly.

If you can't write sales letters, do video sales
letters.

Promote with your sig line in a LOT of forums.
You can even hire a forum poster company to help
out.

Or better yet, do it yourself.

Create some freebie videos or reports you can use
to get people onto your email list.

In short, spend 1/2 your time CREATING PRODUCTS and
promoting them.

Spend the other 1/2 of your time learning and improving
your skills.

You gotta PRODUCE.

The REASON you don't make BANK, the REASON IM hasn't
worked for you, is because you are spending 100% of your
time learning trying to "feel certain" instead of
PRODUCING.

PRODUCE!

That is how you make things happen.

PRODUCE products.

PRODUCE promotions.

PRODUCE articles and submit them to sites.

PRODUCE video bonuses.

PRODUCE video sale letters.

PRODUCE sales letters.

PRODUCE reports.

PRODUCE ebooks.

And if something doesn't work, you try the NEXT thing. They
key thing is that by doing and learning, doing and learning,
you WILL make progress and get somewhere.

You learn by doing.

The game is played on the field.

Here's why YOU also missed out on $2,000 in sales today and how
you can RECLAIM your money next weekend.

Every Saturday I send out an ezine to my list. Usually, just by
sending it this ezine brings in $1,000 to $3,000 in sales.

Now, if you think that's just because I have a big list -- NOT
true. It isn't how big your list is. It's the open rate and how
many people click.

My friend Lee McIntyre gets huge response from a list 5X smaller
than mine.

You don't gotta have a huge list. But you gotta have A list.
And you gotta send out content and pitches or promotions. Now,
personally, I like sending out my content as an ezine.

But you could just as easily send out content in a video or
audio format, if you prefer doing video or audio vs. writing.
What's important is that you provide VALUE to your audience and
build a relationship.

If you don't have Ockham's Razor you're really so far out of
the loop on this, I can't even tell you. Dozens of people have
raved about it. OK, that's my plug.

To continue, my friend Jason is ALSO missing out on money just as
YOU likely are. Why? Because at the stupid bottom of 3hourXX.com
he ain't got a CLICKBANK or affiliate link.

Now, I almost always have my link to our affiliate program at the
top of the page, the bottom or both.

It doesn't cost much to throw your product up on Clickbank and
honestly, what's the WORST thing that can happen? Someone stumbles
across your site and accidentally decides to make you $250, $500
or $1,000 or more without you raising a finger?

This past week, I got over 1,500 subscriptions at this site:

But I haven't figured out who sent the traffic yet. I'm gonna hunt
them down so I can thank them. But those subscriptions were ALL
automated. Just because someone could easily promote the stupid
page.

"But Marlon, I ain't got a product to PROMOTE and I don't have a
sales letter."

THAT, my friend, is exactly why I was GONNA tell you 'bout the
killer product Jason has.

Because he has one of the best products I've seen (maybe the best)
on how to write a sales letter in 3 hours. Really good stuff.

But let me give you the short version here:

Study sales letters that are used to sell a product cheap -- you
know, for $7-$50. Here is what you'll discover:

1. There's a good headline

2. There's an engaging opening sentence

3. There's a story that explains the credibility of the person
or the results they or someone else got with a secret, system
or plan.

4. There's an announcement of a product

5. There are benefits

4. There are bullet points

5. There's a price and an explanation of the value

6. There's a guarantee

7. There's a bonus for acting today

8. There are testimonials

You need to PRACTICE writing sales letters like that. Get
a group of headlines together, bullet points, some stock or
standard guarantees.

You can crank out a sales letter like that in no time flat.
Literally in one to three hours with just a little practice.
Or you can do it as a video (screen capture) using Camtasia
or CamStudio.

The letter is MOSTLY a headline, bullets, guarantee and
bonus.

Instead of selling Jason's product, I'll pitch my own. But
you don't need my product to do this.

Do this:

1. Go to http://www.7dollaroffers.com

2. Do NOT spend any money there or you're gonna get sidetracked

3. Print out the sales letters that make you WANT to spend money

4. Develop your own template based ON them

5. Do NO copy exact wording. You copy IDEAS not words

Now, my friend Jason JUST missed out on ANOTHER $1,000 to $2,000
because he doesn't have an affiliate link or Clickbank link at
the bottom of his site on FAST product creation.

Now, I have a GREAT Dashboard on creating info products --
Product Dashboard. However, it takes six weeks to do the whole
deal. And what occurs to me is a LOT of you just will never do it.

I don't know why. But you won't.

Now, in the old days I used to sell "How to Create Your Own Products
In 2 Hours" which later became "How to Create Your Own Products In
A Flash."

By today's standard, I need to update that product. Don't get me
wrong. It STILL works. One of my friends has grossed several
hundred thousand dollars just using that method.

But it needs to have some of the newest stuff in it.

Anyway, Jason has a GREAT way to create your own reports in 48
hours. Soon as he gets me an affiliate link, I'll tell you
all 'bout it.

In the meantime, here's what I want you to realize -- You CAN
product 7-15 page reports and sell them for $7 to $15. And you
can do it by next weekend.

That INCLUDES having a little sales letter done with a catchy
headline, opening paragraph or two, story, bullet points,
guarantee and reason to act today.

For the report, what you do is GRAB some of those reports you've
bought or downloaded and just FOLLOW a simple format for writing
your report.

-- Introduction
-- Problem
-- Solution
-- Steps
-- Results
-- Question and answer
-- Troubleshooting

That's a GREAT outline for a report you can write in a day or two.
Jason actually does his research for these reports in only an
hour or two.

You don't need to spend a MONTH getting out a product.

Get it OUT the door with a SIMPLE sales letter and see if it
SELLS.

The HARDEST thing you do in business is get a new customer.
So you want to TEST your idea and see if people will BUY!

Now you have a sales letter and a product.

The LAST thing you need is traffic.

1. At minimum join Clickbank and put the link on the sales
letter.

2. Create a simple page that explains the benefits of your
affiliate program.

a. Open Front Page or Dreamweaver.
b. Insert table
c. Type out the scoop on your affiliate program
d. If you created or had created a graphic for your sales
letter, put that at the top of the page but it isn't necessary.

3. In your signature of your posts in online forums, put a link
to your affiliate sign up link:

"Get $39 per sale on a $47 product"

If you're doing a $7-$10 product, then your commission is
probably 90%.

So let's go back to how I began this letter:

"You just missed out on $2,000."

Why?

Because:

1. You probably aren't sending out a weekly ezine or content.

Solution: Read my formula in Ockham's Razor if you have it
and DO IT! Don't just read it. Do it even if what you do is
less than brilliant or perfect.

2. You aren't getting really good at cranking out $7-$47
products, reports and ebooks in a few days.

3. You don't have a system to whip out a basic "good enough"
sales letter in 3 hours.

4. You don't have an affiliate or Clickbank link at the bottom
of the sales letter you don't have for the product that doesn't
exist.

You can CURE all of these things in ONE WEEK!

ezine. I wrote it in under an hour.

The product will take 4 - 6 hours.

I won't make a zillion on it. But at least $5,000 to $10,000.
Maybe $15,000. Which isn't bad for what? 7 hours of "work,"
if you can call it that.

Here is your ACTION plan for THIS week:

1. Create a sales letter for a product you haven't written
yet.

2. Do the research for what you want to put in the product
in 3 hours or less.

3. Write the sales letter in 3 hours or less.

4. Write a 7-15 page report using the outline in this sales
letter in 2 days or less. You can also do it as video or
audio if you prefer.

5. Set up a Clickbank account for your affiliate program,
if you don't have any other software.

"But Marlon, I already HAVE a product that is NOT selling!"

Are you getting traffic to it?

If you aren't, work on that. If you've sent 1,000 decent
quality visitors and it isn't selling, then create a new
product in ONE WEEK!

See, THIS is why you want to create products fast.

They don't ALL sell!

A Return To Simplicity

The 6 Things You Gotta Know To Put Your Formula
Together

Let's return to simplicity.

There are all kinds of complicated things you can do to
market online. But let's just look at the simple things
we know work.

The following formula will work for you whether you have
your OWN products to sell or you're promoting affiliate products.

There are 6 basic things you gotta know to get your
Formula working for you:

1. Who is your target audience?

This is the FIRST thing you have to know. Who BUYS
what you're selling.

In today's world, this is easy to find.

a. You search Google for the keywords people interested
in buying what you hope to sell are likely searching
for.

b. You take the top 10 web sites under those keywords.

c. You go to Quantcast.com and type in the URL's.

Now you know who your audience is.

2. What do they want to buy

a. Go back to the SAME websites in step one.

b. Look at what they're selling.

c. Now you know what people want to buy.

3. What's your advantage in the Game?

You need to have a USP or an advantage.

Look for 1 of 3 scenarios.

-- People who are underserved
-- overserved
-- or non consumers.

If they are underserved, you create products to serve them.

If they are overserved, meaning the products are more expensive
and elaborate than they need, you launch a scaled down product.

If they are non-consumers of your product, you make it easy
and convenient for them to use your product or service.

LAW ONE: Before going to battle, always have a clear, decisive
advantage. That's what Red Factor is about: Gaining an advantage.

Now, you know WHO buys, you know WHAT they buy, you know WHAT
your advantage is.

4. How you will reach 'em

Go back to the web sites in step one.

Go through and look to see if you can buy ads on their sites or
in ezines.

Do backlink checks with and see if any of those sites offer ads or
ezines.

Go here:

On the first "site referrals" tab, type in each domain in the top
ten. Now you can see what KEYWORDS deliver the traffic.

You can buy keywords using ppc OR you can get organic rankings.
All you gotta do is find out:

* Where these people are hanging out
* The blogs they read
* The forums they go to
* The things they search for in Google

Then you offer a freebie that's irrestible to 'em.

5. How to get 'em into your funnel

Now you know how to reach 'em. You need to offer bait. You offer
a free report or other bait to get people into your sales funnel
so you can follow up with 'em.

What attractive report can you offer that people will crawl over
broken glass to get? THAT is what you offer on your "Squeeze"
page.

6. Send 'em emails

Send 'em emails and promotions that get 'em to buy.

The idea here is to find other things they want to buy, join
the affiliate programs, write up promos and send 'em to your list.

You'll also want to publish content to your list. You can write
that yourself or hire writers.

Once people are on your list, you send content and offers. There is
a sequence to that that my friend Lee McIntyre has proven to be very
effective:

Content. Pitch. Content. Pitch. For every pitch, send a piece of
content. My friend Jim Edwards used to do: Content. Content. Pitch.

You can send offers for your own products or those from other people.
You can do your pitches in the emails, in blog posts, by video, by
audio, by webinar, by Ustream, or by teleseminar.

In Promo Dashboard, I call this rolling out "The Full Arsenal." You
use all the tools that work for you and fit who you are.

7. Turn every customer into an affiliate

In the ideal world, you wanna turn every customer into an affiliate.

The idea is that you make it easy for 'em to get articles, links,
banners and tools they can stick on a blog, Facebook or Myspace
page.

SUMMARY"

* Know who buys
* Know what they buy
* Know where they hang out at
* Offer 'em a tasty freebie they can't refuse
* Send 'em content and offers
* Get 'em all to be your affiliate

If you wanna get fancy, have 'em post and talk to you on your blog
and Twitter. Get 'em into a Facebook group.

Poof! Now you know the simplicity of marketing online. Isn't that
10X clearer than a LOT of the things you've read to date?

You probably know someone who needs to read this article. Would

the word to 'em on Facebook?
